The Jets are casting a wide net as they contemplate their next quarterback move.
Veteran free agent Josh McCown is the latest name to be added to the list. The Jets have expressed some level of interest in McCown in the past days, according to a league source. No signing, however, is imminent.
The 37-year-old McCown has played for seven teams in his 14-year career. He spent the past two seasons with the Browns.
Jay Cutler is also among the available quarterbacks for the Jets, who have Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg on the roster.
McCown would be a solid veteran addition that could mentor the young signal callers.
